WHAT IF...?
What if Jake and Austin came out? What if the hottest couple in Hollywood also happened to be a gay couple? The world would shift on it's axis just a bit, and it would have been worth it.
If I were Jake, however, I would continue living the lie. Why is it up to him to change the world? It's not his fault that it's f'ed up in the first place. Besides, he already did that cowboy movie, isn't that enough?

THE HIGH LINE

WHERE IS IT? The 30-foot-high trestle spans the neighborhoods of the Meatpacking District, Chelsea, and the Javits Convention Center area, some 22 blocks, from Gansevoort St up to 34th St along Tenth and Eleventh Aves.
WHAT’S IT GOING TO BE? A public park that consists of an elevated greenway with walking paths
WHEN’S IT GOING TO BE DONE? it’s already under construction; large portions should be completed in 2008, with the rest finished in 2009

COLLECTING THE NAMES OF THE PARANOID
The government is issuing a statement recommending that all Americans gather one month worth of provisions. On a new website, they are outlining ways in which people can prepare for disaster. -- http://www.codeready.org/ --There is a hitch, however...Those who try to develop a "personal emergency plan" using the site are asked to fill in their names, ages, addresses and detailed medical information before they can proceed to the state's recommendations for personal and family preparedness. Health Commissioner Dianne Mandernach claims that the data will be erased once the user exits the site and will not be collected by the state.
This, of course, is complete and utter b.s. Why is the government pushing preparedness via a website that requires medical information be divulged?
