As the head designer of the Gucci lifestyle line for over a decade, Ford found himself on an international stage. Shilling for a faceless entity left him cold, evidently, so he left Gucci and set off on his own.
The design world will be watching with much interest to see if the golden boy falls on his face or if this is just the first of many successes under his own nameplate.
Either way, he'll still be a sexy bitch with millions in the bank and a boytoy on his arm. Few will be sympathetic if he fails.
